Nail Surgery
Nail removal and matrix ablation with phenol (acid) is often the choice for those with persistent painful ingrowing nails, especially those that frequently become infected. This procedure performed under local anaesthetic to ensure there is no pain during the surgery. With the option of either the whole nail being removed or just the offending edge to produce a more cosmetically pleasing result.
This is a surgery with a high level of success with most patients never experiencing any regrowth.
This treatment is performed in clinic only and is not suitable for home visits.
